The music program at Himmel’s Church includes a variety of ages, instruments and talents. We have an adult singing choir, which leads worship every Sunday and shares an anthem, relating to scriptural lessons of the church season. Once a month, our Hand bell and Chime ringing choirs, also present anthems or other music to enhance our worship experience. Sometimes other instrumentalists are involved in hymn playing or are added to the anthem, prelude and offertory. All ages of Sunday School children and youth enjoy singing special songs they have rehearsed for morning worship on various occasions.

Himmel’s congregation also enjoys another resource, which enhances worship. In the summer of 1997, a pipe organ was added to our sanctuary. The 16 rank instrument with a new speaking façade of flamed copper pipes was built by Patrick J. Murphy and Associates, Inc.. Our people love to sing and sing very well and the pipe organ adds a beautiful voice to help in praise and worship.

Our music department welcomes anyone, whatever your age or talent, to share with us in song and praise of our Savior. We prepare a variety of anthems, in many different styles of music, with a variety of instrumental accompaniments. There is something for everyone at Himmel’s Church. We also include soloists, duets, trios and quartets in our summer worship and prepare cantata’s during the Advent and Easter season. Many of our ringing and singing choir members participate and support area community events involving music.

Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings as follows: The chime choir rehearses at 6:15 P.M., the bell choir at 7:00 P.M., and the choir rehearses at 7:45 P.M.
