HIMMEL’S WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America)

 PURPOSE STATEMENT

As a community of women created in the image of God called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

 ANNUAL PROJECTS

Sew ground covers to be sent to Lutheran World Relief.

Prepare school kits to be sent to the Native American children on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservations in South Dakota.

Visit and entertain the residents at the Selinsgrove Center and Susquehanna Lutheran Village.

Sponsor the annual bazaar and prepare chow chow to be sold.

Sponsor chicken BBQ with proceeds going to Himmel’s Church building fund.

Prepare and serve meals for various functions of the church including special dinners, funerals, anniversaries, etc.

Himmel’s Women of the WELCA meet the first Monday of each month in the church social hall.  Everyone is invited.
