The most important event we do at Himmel’s is Worship together. We come together each week at 9 A.M. for Sunday School and Worship at 10:15 A.M.. Our uniqueness as a Union Parish (both ELCA Lutheran and United Church of Christ members), we use a United Methodist hymnal because of the richness of the hymns as our basic hymnal for worship together. Liturgy is created weekly coordinating hymns, prayers and lessons to tie together a common theme for each Sunday.

Holy Communion is celebrated monthly (1st Sunday of each month) and on all Festival days, i.e.: Holy Thursday, Christmas and Easter.

During months of July, August and the first Sunday in September our worship time is 9 A.M.. There is no regular Sunday school. We do provide a “One Room Sunday School” during this time for the children. We have a very active youth program here and on special occasions they conduct worship prepared by them.
